Cashemire/mérinos et autres mérinos mélangés (soie, angora, yak, mohair, alpaga...), fils très fins à fins (4ply & fingering)

Les cachemire/laine 2/14NM proviennent de Todd & Duncan (Ecosse). Avec leur composition de 30% cachemire et laine Geelong, ils sont moins doux que les fils contenant davantage de cachemire, mais ils sont plus résistants et donnent une meilleure définition de points.

Les fils cachemire/laine (25/75) viennent également de chez Todd & Duncan qui les commercialisaient sous le nom Heather.

Les fils cachemire/laine d'agneau (35/65) 3/14NM, commercialisés sous le nom de Crofter par T&D, sont filés avec un brin de fil mèche blanc, ce qui leur donne plus de douceur et une jolie texture (mais rend aussi ces fils un peu plus fragiles).

Les mélanges (80/20) 2/15NM sont filés en italie et sont plus deux que les fils de Todd & Duncan.

Les fils angora/mérinos viennent aussi d'italie et sont très doux.

Les nouveaux mélanges de mérinos ont été filés en espagne pour de grandes marques italiennes (Burberry, etc).
