Double Twisted

Todd & Duncan twist these yarns for us from their remainder singles (1/14NM) yarns, and as they twist two plies together first, then two plies of the resulting yarn together again, an almost braided appearance and feel is produced.

If you wonder about the higher prices for black and pink, it is almost impossible for black to be a remainder in any quantity, especially as a dk weight, and the same can be said for pinks... so we have made a special purchase from Todd & Duncan of those two colours, at a much higher price than the normal deal....

This is a 4/14NM yarn, giving 570 yards per cone (1,750 yards per lb). You should get about 20-24 stitches on a 4 inch swatch from this yarn, using US 5-6 or 3.75-4 mm needles. Details of washing and knitting should be found in our knowledge base section, and if you have any examples of items you have already knitted with it we would be very grateful if you would post details (and photos if possible) below.
